Some history
The version of Flash based pageflip available on this site was developed from an open source original by Macc from IpariGrafika. Thereafter Steve Palmer from 76 design.com extended Macc's work by taking the pages out of the FLA and using an XML file to configure the book.
My students were due to start work on an ICT project which was to create a book so I, Brian Norman, picked up the code and added bits needed by them such as playing sound tracks and hotspots etc. I fed this back to the community and before long I seem to have become the main developer. People think I'm a whizz at Flash but, in fact, I learned it whilst developing this project. If I were to start again, I'd do things very differently.
This pageflip variant has been developed using Flash 8 and ActionScript 2.
More Credits
I'd like to thank Steven C Norder of zeropain.com for sponsoring pageflip by providing me with webspace on his server to host pageflip. His generosity has enabled me to improve the site and add the demonstration book on line.
SVN
Courtesy of Steven C Norder we now SVN capability. As a result the ZIP file option will be discontinued. You can get Tortoise SVN from here it is open source.

AS3 version
I've been toying with moving to AS3 then I found this http://megazine.mightypirates.de.
It's very good but it doesn't appear to contain many of the features in my version. So it looks like I may be re-writing mine in AS3 in the future - or learning how to extend the above version.
Contacting me.
I don't mind helping out the needy but I'm not putting my email address on this site for web spiders to gather up and chuck junk mail at me (I get enough as it is).
Please read though my collection of FAQs first.
If you are still stuck my email address is in the readme.txt or go to the Forum.
